We have been meaning to upload some videos to show you a bit more of our camp for a while and now amongst the Corona madness we have finally found the time to do so.. the first little video is just my favourite view within camp which opens up as you cross the bridge. I think it’s because when we first arrived we camped under that beautiful fig tree waiting for the rains to end so we could begin building the lodge so it reminds me of those exciting days when we first began living in the bush. The chalet you can see is Wagtail chalet and there is another chalet just beyond the big fig tree. Our chalets have lots of space between them so you can enjoy the views around without feeling overlooked by your neighbours.

2022 I am in New Zealand watching the documentary (2017) about your Pinnon Lodges in Africa build. It looks really exciting! Well done. It was a huge journey for you both. Many set backs and huge curve balls came your way. I understand that you also lost the restaurant in a fire. Then Covid. I hope things are going well for you now and are still enjoying your lovely life together.

Thanks Janet for your kind words and thoughts. The fire was November 2017 just over a year after we opened and it was a huge shock but thankfully we were insured and managed to rebuild with a bit of extra experience to tweak and improve our original design. Covid was really difficult and I’m so thankful we managed to (just about) survive when so many other businesses were sunk by it.
